Solution Night Service – New Beginnings

Tonight we are having the Solution Night Service for the New Year titled “NEW BEGINNINGS!

As we are embracing New Year, you need a new beginning.

The Christian life has a beginning.

No one is born a Christian, all are born sinners (Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:10-23)

All need to be born again to receive eternal life (John 3:1-5, 16)

Sometimes even believers need new beginnings

We need a new beginning when we become bitter or bothered about the past, present or future. David understood this and prayed for a new beginning (psalm 51)
Let the past be past through forgiveness

Old things are passed away (2Corintians 5:17). Let’s believe this about our past sins (Psalm 103:12). Let’s believe it regarding confessed sins since salvation (John 1:9)
Refuse to be tormented by sins God has forgiven. New beginning also requires forgiving others (Ephesians 4:30-32)

Many are held back in their Christian walk by refusing to forgive. It is time to put away old grudges for wrongs done to us.
We can forgive because we have been forgiven.

We have never been wronged like we have wronged God. Since He has forgiven us, we can forgive others.

Are you ready to let the past be past through forgiveness?

Brethren, let the future be fantastic through faith (verse 18) because all things are of God . We begin with God by faith at salvation (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9). The entire Christian life is an experience in faith. The just shall live by faith (Hebrews 2:3). Faith is total trust in the Lord. As faith increases fear decreases.
As faith increase fear decreases. The next question is why then are so many believers in bondage to anxieties?

  1.  They are not trusting God for everyday provisions (Philippians 4: 19)
  2. They are trying to face the future before it arrives (Mathew 6:34)
  3. They have forgotten all things are possible with God (Luke 1:37)

“Faith makes the up look good, the outlook bright, the inlook favourable and the future glorious”

Brethren let the present be exciting through evangelism (verse 18-20). For the following reasons:

  • “God….hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation
  • We have been commissioned to tell others of Christ’s love
  • We are ambassadors for Christ
  • We are to bring others to be reconciled to God
  • Nothing is as exciting as winning others to our Lord Jesus Christ

Conclusions

  1. Have you began with Christ? Are you born again?
  2. Have you lost the Joy of your Salvation?
  3. Let forgiveness, faith, and evangelism bring you a New Beginning.

God bless you.
